Pre-event training focuses on developing areas that require particular attention, as part of a scheduled programme. As the name suggests, pre-event training is largely used by athletes and sportspeople to build up readiness for events. It can be used as preparation for a single event such as a marathon, or more regularly occurring requirements such as rugby or football seasons.
The styles of pre event training that we use here at Anywhere Fitness include some that are employed by international level sportspeople, particularly the England rugby team.
While pre-event training targets the areas of the body that are used during particular sports, it also covers aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. Therefore this type of training is also ideally suited to non-athletes, as it helps to develop and maintain an optimum overall condition that delivers fitness and health benefits in daily life.
